I’m a big fan of sweet and savoury dishes (I’m a pineapple on your pizza girl!) and I was craving food that was warm and nourishing, but that also had a hint of sweetness.
Growing up in the UK I was very spoilt with delicious curries and I always struggle to find a good curry here in Sydney. One of my favourite curries is Butter Chicken, but restaurant versions can be made with a lot of vegetable oil. One rainy afternoon I had a real craving for a good old curry and decided to experiment with all the ingredients in my house. I ended up making one of my best dishes!

When you think of wellness, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Exercise, food, healthy living, being well? There is a misconception that wellness is just being free from illness and is based on fitness and nutrition. However, wellness is much more than this. Wellness is everything, it encompasses you and everything around you including your mind, body, spirit, friends, family, work, communities and your environment. To achieve complete wellness, you must focus on all these areas in your life. Be prepared to love, grow, change, accept and learn on your wellness journey.
I was so happy to discover that Coogee had opened its first health shop The WholeFoodie Co and I could not wait to get down there and check it out. My excitement quadrupled as soon as I walked through the door and entered a foodie haven. At every corner there was an array of all my favourite foods; beautifully presented and calling out to be nourished right there and then!
I had to meet the inspiration behind this fabulous new shop and what a delight she is! Ally and I hit it off straight away with our love of Coogee, whole foods and green smoothies. We recently held our first joint Food as Medicine workshop for the Coogee community.
