I’m a big fan of sweet and savoury dishes (I’m a pineapple on your pizza girl!) and I was craving food that was warm and nourishing, but that also had a hint of sweetness. As I was standing in the green grocer, mangoes caught my eye and I felt sad that they would be out of season with the end of summer. My deprivation fear kicked in and I stocked up and headed home. Now what would I do with these mangoes?! I rummaged through my fridge and found some chicken that had to cooked so I got creative and cooked up this delight! I would love for you to try and let me know what you think! Happy cooking!
Growing up in the UK I was very spoilt with delicious curries and I always struggle to find a good curry here in Sydney. One of my favourite curries is Butter Chicken, but restaurant versions can be made with a lot of vegetable oil. One rainy afternoon I had a real craving for a good old curry and decided to experiment with all the ingredients in my house. I ended up making one of my best dishes!

An important part of wellness a is our senses. It is through our senses; seeing, touching, smelling, tasting and moving that we come to know and enjoy everything in our lives. Spending time tuning into our senses not only increases our wellness, but also lets us tap into our creative sides. One of my favourite sensing activities is a mindfulness walk. It has had a huge impact on my wellness so I would like to share with you my mini-guide so you can get started too!
When I first moved to Sydney I became obsessed with banana bread. I literally could not get enough of it and I was eating it every day… until I discovered that it was just cake! (very yummy cake). I then went on a mission to create my own healthy version which I still eat every day, just minus the sugar overload. This recipe packs a protein punch too and heals your guts as it includes a fermented and sprouted brown rice protein powder.
One of the best things about Winter is all the amazing seasonal fruit and veg that we get to enjoy at this time of year. Rhubarb is now in season and is one of my favourite winter vegetables. Warm yourself up with this nourishing crumble. It is also the perfect dessert for all those Christmas in July parties!
Have you read and heard a lot about self-care but not really sure what it is or how to go about it? Self-care is about self-respect, increasing your awareness, and showing love, compassion and understanding of yourself. Achieving emotional wellness involves understanding how our thoughts, feelings and behaviours are all connected. If you deal with them in unhealthy ways, it will affect your overall wellness. Learning to accept them with compassion, and without judgement and putting the right steps in place means you can flourish and be the best possible version of yourself.
